If you have though of changing from your old Tv and move to the wonderful world of HDTV televisions you may find that there are many types of screens. Every type of screen has its own pros and cons when it comes to image quality. In fact, the differences between them are so noticeable that people that are HDTV savvy can easily differentiate them without having to look at product manuals. So which one is the best one for you? That question can only be answered by you. Here you will read about the pros and cons of the different technologies that are used when manufacturing HDTV televisions. One of the most common technologies is Plasma. HDTV televisions with Plasma screens were very abundant during the first years of high definition Tv. Plasma Tvs project warm beautiful colors and dark blacks. Dark blacks translate into high contrast and very defined images. They also have very fast refresh rates. Older models did had a short lifespan and were prone to image burn in. In a sense, Plasma HDTV televisions have the better image quality than most HDTVs but lose screen brightness as they get older. They also consume more energy. The leading technology in the high definition world is LCD. LCD means liquid crystal display. Colors are usually very bright on them. These sets can last for many years with the proper treatment. LCD are not prone to the problems that Plasma sets are and do not require as work to maintain in optimal conditions. However, the quality of the Tv is very dependent on the model in question. Some of these sets can easily rival the image quality of a Plasma screen while others have suffer from unwanted artifacts in their image. In general, most LCDs made by the big brands are excellent. So as a general rule stick with the known brands if you decide to buy one of them. The other leading technology is known as DLP. There are two types of DLP technologies one uses one micro chip and the other uses three. Usually DLP is used to manufacture rear projectors and are of great value of the money to those that are interested in purchasing an huge screen. When it comes to image quality, DLPs are not to good compared to the other two leading technologies.It is strange that even if these technologies are very advanced, they can not match the contrast and colors of CRT, the oldest television technology to date. CRT is still used in some small conventional televisions. It was used to manufacture HDTV sets but, due to their heavy weigh and the fact that they take a lot of room made manufacturers change their mind about this technology.

Nonwovens have several merits over woven textiles. They have
higher filtration efficiency, better absorbancy and
permiability, non directional properties compared to wovens; the
process is also cheaper because of ability to process recycled
and waste fibres and make composites using wood pulp for making
wipes. Among the various methods of making nonwovens,
hydroentanglement has the merit that it is ideally suited for
cotton, translates the characteristics of fibres into fabric and
retains textile character. Chemical bonding polymerises the
binder with the fibre to create bonds. Thermal bonding welds the
fibres. So with both methods, inter-fibre movement is
restricted. The resultant fabrics are therefore stiff, lack
drape and textile character. Chemical bonding covers the
material with binder and so masks the soft feel and absorbancy
of cellulosic fibre. It also causes allergy problems to skin.
Thermal boding reduces the strength because of melting of fibre.
Hydroentanglement, on the other hand, is free from these
drawbacks. Fibre characteristics are fully translated into
fabric in this system. Further, products have a high durability
and do not easily disintegrate. This is because the entanglement
is similar to that achieved by twisting of fibres into yarn. The
nonwoven made by hydroentanglement has a textile character
similar to knits or wovens.Strength of hydroentangled fabrics
are also close to that of woven and knitted materials. Fibres
are first opened and carded.Entanglement is achieved by
directing fine water jets on to a web emerging from card and
supported by a transporting belt. As the water strikes the web,
fibres are deflected and entanglement occurs. Very high water
pressure of the order of 100-160 bars is used. Production rates
are very high with delivery speeds up to 400-500 m/min.
Hydroenglement has the merit that it can make cheap wipes by
making a sanwich of nonwoven with wood pulp. 3 layer sandwich
with wood pulp sanwiched between 2 layers of staple fibre and
cosolidated by hydroentanglement, represents an attractive
proposition for making cost effective wipes and medical
products. Web made from a card is transported on a conveyer
lattice. On this a pulp forming unit sprays wood pulp uniformly.
Over this a layer of carded web from a second card is laid. The
sandwich material then passes through a hydroentanglement unit
where entanglement of top and bottom layer of web occurs. the
material is then taken through a dryer. Wood pulp thus
sandwiched and hydroentangled with a staple fibre web is cheaper
compared to 100% staple fibre nonwoven wipes, has a higher
thickness and absorbancy and comparable strength. Further, the
product has more uniformity as pulp levels out card web
irregularities. Production rates upto 400 m/min are possible.
Though higher investment is involved in this technology, it pays
back rapidly because of low raw material cost, higher
productivity and improved properties.

Buy a cheap laptop with older technology
Rapid advance in technology makes it meaningless to buy the latest technology at a high price. When laptop with wireless capability first came to the market, a unit with this technology can cost up till US$2500. Now after 2 years, you can get a relatively fast centrino laptop for less than US$1000.

Buy used or refurbished laptop
The depreciation of a laptop value is so high, that after one year in the market, a laptop can easily lose half its value. So if you are looking for a cheap laptop, look for one which is close to one year old. Not all used laptop are in bad condition. You will be surprised to find that some used laptops are still in good condition because their owners are power users or gamers.

Buy laptop from power users or gamers
I like to buy electronic gadgets including laptops from hard core power users or gamers. Let me share with you why. Gamers or power users usually require the latest and most powerful technology to run their games or power hungry applications. They often will not settle for second best. They also have the tendency to chase after the latest technology. So after one year, they will be bored of what they have and will look to sell off their laptops so that they can buy a new one. Now if you are looking to buy cheap laptops with up to date technology and you happen to have friends who are gamers, do ask them if they are looking to sell off their laptops. Who knows, maybe you can buy a good and cheap laptop from them.

Scan through gaming forums and local gaming community
if you do not already have friends who like to play computer games, then scanning through gaming forums on the internet is another way to get good and cheap deals for used laptop. Internet makes it easy for you to do this. Go to google.com and start searching for gaming forums. Visit each and everyone and see if they have a Trading Section. You will definitely find many posts from gamers looking to sell their gaming laptops.

Scan through local bulletin boards

Do scan through local bulletin boards near you for cheap deals on laptop. Students or even companies do offer their used computers or laptops for sale when their studies or projects end. I personally had gotten a few good deals for my family and friends.

Look for cheap laptop with at least 512mb memory
This is especially important for used laptop. If the processor speed is slow, then having more memory can compensate for the lack in speed. In fact, the size of memory plays a big part in determining how fast a laptop runs an application. Just by increasing the memory size, you can see a huge difference in speed. A cheap laptop with at least 512mb memory can run most non graphic intensive application easily.

Get cheap laptop from reputable manufacturer
This is very important because if you are buying used laptop, then the chances of requiring servicing is higher than a new laptop. So if you buy from a reputable manufacturer, you will save a lot of trouble and time if your laptop does require servicing.

Global warming over the next half-century could put more than a million species of plants and animals on the road to extinction, according to an international study

Thomas, lead author of the study published in the science journal Nature, said emissions from cars and factories could push temperatures up to levels not seen for 1 million to 30 million years by the end of the century, threatening many habitats. The sweeping new analysis, enlisting scientists from 14 laboratories around the globe, found that more than one-third of 1,103 native species they studied in six regions around the world could vanish or plunge to near extinction by 2050 as climate change turns plains into deserts or alters forests.

Global warming is widely blamed on rising concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere linked to emissions of gases from burning fossil fuels in cars, factories and power plants. We can cut global warming pollution by reducing pollution from vehicles and power plants.
We can increase our reliance on renewable energy sources such as wind, sun and geothermal. And we can manufacture more efficient appliances and conserve energy.

But all this will take time, instead we should think of alternatives which can be done immediately like doing ridesharing or carpool, using clean fuel like CNG. There is no reason to wait and hope that hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will solve the problem in the future. Right away, we should put existing technologies for building cleaner cars and more modern electricity generators into widespread use.

If current trends continue Global warming will have catastrophic effects like:
•	Melting glaciers, early snowmelt and severe droughts will cause more dramatic water shortages in the American West.
•	Rising sea levels will lead to coastal flooding on the Eastern seaboard, in Florida, and in other areas, such as the Gulf of Mexico.
•	Warmer sea surface temperatures will fuel more intense hurricanes in the south-eastern Atlantic and Gulf coasts.
•	Forests, farms and cities will face troublesome new pests and more mosquito-borne diseases.
•	Disruption of habitats such as coral reefs and alpine meadows could drive many plant and animal species to extinction.

Such alarming facts call for some serious action on each one’s part and we can contribute by sharing our vehicles and making carpools in our cities.

Here is a very basic concept idea/plan to harvest energy from Lightening. It is done in an artificial chamber, simulating weather in the atmosphere, but under exact and controlled circumstances; still in the incubation-thinking phase. It has incredible additional possibilities for all kinds of applications. I call it; AWCS- Project Artificial Weather Control Simulator.

We are conducting this project to explore the possibilities of weather control to provide water to drought areas of our Planet where human population needs additional and stable year round fresh water supplies. In addition to this we are looking into collecting the energy generated by Cumuli Nimbus Cloud formations, which produce lightning. Heat in the chamber is made by bombardment of two laser beams. If this works it can be replicated in the atmosphere for weather control. Eventually energy collection too. We also see the military applications. We will use a Particle Laser Beam, which will intersect with another Particle Beam or High frequency Laser or Chemical laser. Lightning Rods strategically placed will collect energy. And we will have an Escape Door for rapid Barometric Pressure change Cumuli Nimbus Cloud. We bombard the first particle beam with another beam and thus creating heat in a chamber set with the proper and most likely barometric pressure for thunderclouds to form. We then allow these clouds to form and make lightening.

The lightening is attracted to the lightening rods, which have the specific charge necessary. This provides constant electricity. Trap door is set with vents to constantly monitor the barometric pressure and allow for an escape of the system by dumping air to flow in or out to modify the circumstances during tests. We have also devised a Hamster wheel type devise where the beams are sent in at an angle from between two or three in series wheels with reflectors on them which send the light across the diameter of the wheels where they again are reflected to the center and other side and so on, until they heat up. This system is driven by the electricity derived from the lightening, this would in fact be a perpetual motion machine and the wheel would keep spinning due to the heat it makes trying to escape and the direction that the mirror reflectors were angled to reflect the beams back into themselves. Air would come into the chamber and be sucked in by the spinning wheels and form heat and mixed with very little mist would produce the clouds. The entire system would be about the size of two barns at a normal ranch house.

Version 2.4 Provides Unprecedented Protection Against SSL Attacks While Dynamically Managing Bandwidth to Block Threats to the Network

Radware (NASDAQ; RDWR) the leading provider of Intelligent Application Switching solutions ensuring the end-to-end availability, performance and security of networked applications today announced the expansion of its DefensePro product line. With the unveiling of DefensePro version 2.4, Radware now protects against SSL-based attacks, ensuring that hackers – many of whom have learned to exploit SSL tunnels to evade network intrusion prevention measures – can no longer exploit this unprotected pathway to launch DoS/DDoS attacks.

Intercepting over 1,500 malicious signatures, hidden worms and viruses, DefensePro 2.4 blocks application attacks at an unmatched speed of 3-Gigabits/Sec. Leveraging years of experience with SSL acceleration and SSL sniffing, Radware integrated its SSL sniffing capabilities with DefensePro, scanning encrypted traffic and blocking attacks. Handling up to 15,000 SSL transactions per second, the Radware solution offers remarkable scalability of SSL protection for seamless service volume growth.

“SSL Encryption is an important security tool, but it can also be used as an evasion technique. Attacks hidden within an SSL tunnel can evade even the strictest intrusion prevention policies and technologies,” said Charles Kolodgy, research director of Security Products at IDC. “As a result, enterprises and carriers must protect applications with pro-active security systems that can discover and prevent SSL attacks by being able to peer into the encrypted traffic.”

DefensePro isolates attacks by dynamically managing bandwidth to stop propagation across users and resources while ensuring the complete continuity and performance of all secure traffic to proactively control impact and limit damage.

DefensePro’s port density enables high capacity scanning across multiple network segments for increased protection against attacks originating from both inside and outside the network. By integrating Denial of Service protection with its IPS capabilities, DefensePro delivers the security and performance that high capacity environments require.

“Increasing sophistication among hackers has created an environment where many organizations are hard-pressed to stay one step ahead of they latest worm, exploit or BotNet,” said Assaf Ronen, VP R&D, Radware. “Our mission has always been to ensure the security, performance and reliability of networked applications and we realize that point IPS solutions aren’t enough. Now, with SSL protection in DefensePro 2.4, organizations worldwide can stem the tide of ever evolving information security threats.”

<STRONG< a at 2.4>

Unparalleled protection against SSL-based attacks with the ability to inspect SSL-encrypted sessions

Intuitive “first time” wizard for quick and simple installation, with simple customization for different environments

Enhanced management capabilities and comprehensive statistics reporting

Geographical display of threat, with respect to the country of origin

User defined reports that allow maximum flexibility in setting any type of report

Customer based reports (for MSSP services)

Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains has Project Accounting module where you can budget the project, assign it to customer contract and then log expenses, timesheets, inventory spending, and finally bill the customer against the project or contract. Microsoft Great Plains Project Accounting does excellent job, but there are cases when you need developer or MS SQL DB Admin touches.
•	The first script transfers salesperson and sales territory from Customer master file to Project master table

update PA01101
set
SLPRSNID=b.SLPRSNID,
SALSTERR=b.SALSTERR
from
PA01101 a
join RM00101 b on a.CUSTNMBR=b.CUSTNMBR
where a.SLPRSNIDb.SLPRSNID or a.SALSTERRb.SALSTERR

•	The second scripts unlocks Project Accounting user, this rare and funny one – really hard to get it from Microsoft Business Solutions Tech Support site:

delete PA000001 where userid=’put user id here’
•	The third script is really advanced one – it is for users trying to place billing address with contact info on the PA invoice form at the bottom section – address comes from Contract – not from the project

/*
Updates Primary Bill To Address Code for Billing invoice to be the one from Contract Master table,
instead of Primary Billing Address Code from Customer
*/

update PA13100 set PRBTADCD=c.PRBTADCD
from PA13100 a join PA13200 b on a.PADocnumber20=b.PADocnumber20 join
PA01201 c on b.PAPROJNUMBER=c.PAPROJNUMBER

/*
update PA13100 set PRBTADCD=c.PRBTADCD
from PA13100 a join PA13200 b on a.PADocnumber20=b.PADocnumber20 join
PA01101 c on b.PACONTNUMBER=c.PACONTNUMBER
*/
/*
Fill user defined 1 on the Billing HDR to contact person from the appropriate customer master address rec.
*/
update PA13100
set PAUD1 = left(b.CNTCPRSN,20)
from PA13100 a join RM00102 b on a.CUSTNMBR = b.CUSTNMBR and a.PRBTADCD = b.ADRSCODE

It seems that the time that it takes for computers to become obsolete is shortening more than ever. If you go out and purchase a top-of-the-line computer, it is very likely that in less than six months it will no longer be considered top-of-the-line. If you currently have a computer and you want it to be able to perform more functions, you don’t have to get rid of it and spend a lot of money on a new system. You can simply purchase components to upgrade your computer. If you seriously consider upgrading your computer, now is a perfect time to do so. As with computers, prices of computer components are at an all-time low. Depending on they type of specifications you’re after, you can spend as little as three hundred dollars to update your desktop or laptop computer.

Finding all the components you need to upgrade your own computer system is as easy as visiting findcheapcomputers.com. This website features detailed information about parts and includes a buyer’s guide to make buying your components a snap. The first task that you need to perform to upgrade your computer system is to make a list of the computer’s specifications. If you’re not sure what specs you want the system to have, you can consider what you will do most with the computer and then generate a list of specifications. People typically choose to upgrade their existing computer systems because it does not include a particular component to enable them to perform a particular task.

A processor is an important component in your computer. Whether or not you should upgrade your processor depends on the tasks you will perform with the computer and the type of processor that currently exists in your computer. If the system you are planning to upgrade does not use one of the fast processors on the market, you may want to invest in a motherboard bundle that includes a motherboard, CPU, and fan. These bundles generally cost less than if you were to buy the parts separately. Of course, you could purchase an Intel Celeron with a speed of 2.6 gigahertz or an AMD Athlon 2700+. Both of these processors are sufficient for general computer use as well as browsing the Internet and gaming.

In addition to the processor, you will probably want to upgrade your system with memory, a graphics card or video card, a monitor, and keyboard and pointing device. Finding cheap computer deals of these components should be easy since activities that require high-quality video such as gaming are very popular. The important thing to remember when shopping for these components is that you need to make sure they are compatible with your system. For example, an AGP graphics card is an excellent choice if you plan to do a significant amount of gaming because it processes graphics faster. However, your motherboard will need to have an AGP slot. If you’re not sure which components are most compatible, the website findcheapcomputers.com features information about computer components that are not only compatible with most systems, but that are also cheap.
